ST. PATRICK’S DAY, 17th March ‘2024 - St Patrick’s Brass Band, Galway to resume their historic place leading the Galway City Parade

Event Guide

St. Patricks Band are delighted to resume their historic place leading the Galway City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Galway’s first St Patrick’s Day Parade took place in 1903 with St. Patrick’s Band leading the procession, and has been involved in every St Patrick’s Day Parade since.

As a community-based organisation, St Patrick’s Band have been providing musical tuition and support to musicians from the West for over a hundred a years. We see ourselves as an integral and important institution in aiding the development of the arts in the West and are honoured to be asked to lead the parade again, as we have done so many times in the past.

We are also delighted to have been asked to lead the Moycullen parade later in the day.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
