St. Patrick's Band instrumental in the founding of the Western Region Brass and Military Band Association

The band was instrumental in setting up the Western Region Brass and Military Band Association. Member bands in the West gathered together annually in a different town for musical events and it proved a great success. Eight bands travelled to Galway for the festival in 1984.
