Jack Regan (former Bandmaster) celebrates the opening of the new Bandroom with St. Patrick's Band

Jack Regan was Bandmaster for a period c1965 - 1966. He came from Dublin.

He led the Band for the major celebrations in Galway during August 1965 for the opening of Galway Cathedral. He was a mentor for Tommy Joyce and others. He persuaded members of the band to attend Gormanston College Summer School of Music during the 60s and 70s that enabled many players such as Frank Donlon and Peter Rabbitte to expand their musical horizons and meet other band members.

Jack was invited to the opening of the Bandroom in 1989 and is pictured above with Tommy Joyce, Frank Donlon and Paddy Cooke
